PlayStation showcases the competitive side of gaming with an action-packed ad.

The spot shows a pair of gamers as they try to best each other across a series of adventures, from heading to war on a futuristic battlefield to a game of five-a-side football. Each game is met with calls for a "best of" rematch as they navigate mythical creatures, sniper attacks and the odd landmine.

The work was created by Simon Pearse and Emmanuel St M Leux, and directed by Paul WS Anderson through The Mob. Media is handled by MediaCom

Last October, the brand launched a spot for PlayStation 5 which paid homage to explorers of the past.
