BMW held pitches for its £20m UK media business this week. Eleven-year incumbent Vizeum was up against Initiative, MEC and Starcom. BMW called the statutory review in May.

CHI & Partners, Grey London, Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R and VCCP were left disappointed last week when Marks & Spencer failed to deliver a promised update. The retailer pushed back its final decision to 22 August – after key decision-makers’ holidays.

Beiersdorf’s northern European media review is open to agencies on its global roster, including Carat and OMD, and incumbent MEC. The winning shop will work across Ireland, the Netherlands, the Nordics and the UK.

Confusion swept through adland last week after radio silence from the government on its long-awaited roster review. It was not until Thursday evening (12 August) that the brief went live. Submissions are due on 5 September.
