Pitch update: BT, Glenmorangie, Siemens, New West End Company

Pitches for BT and EE's consolidated media buying business have taken place.

Group M incumbents Maxus and MEC are working together against an undisclosed number of agencies. Maxus handles the BT account, worth upwards of £100m a year, while MEC looks after EE, worth about £60m. A decision is due in the next few weeks.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity has hired Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO to create a new campaign. Richard Bowyer, director of brand marketing at the charity, says it will "aim to raise awareness of the impact the hospital can have on the lives of patients and how important the support of the public is to achieving this".

Glenmorangie has appointed Droga5 London to handle its global creative account as part of a brand repositioning aimed at linking the whisky to "today’s culture". The independent agency, which will be responsible for developing a global integrated campaign, beat The Brooklyn Brothers and VCCP in the pitch, overseen by Oystercatchers. Amsterdam’s BSUR is the incumbent.

R/GA London has been named lead agency by Siemens to co-create its global employer rebranding strategy and activation.

New West End Company, which represents shops on Oxford Street, Bond Street and Regent Street, has hired marketing and representation agency Wasserman as it seeks to reposition itself as an unrivalled shopping destination.
