A new sport dubbed ‘crazy football’ was created for Vauxhall, involving a mixture of kicking skills and crazy golf and featuring the car manufacturer’s latest offering, Adam. Giant tyres and ramps were used as obstacles.
TRO also designed a calming Scandinavian retreat for Volvo, inspired by the company’s Swedish roots. Visitors could try out its latest technology to control the retreat’s soundtrack via a Twitter-activated jukebox, and enjoy a cup of coffee in a traditional Kafé.
Brocolli brand Tenderstem put on cooking masterclasses for adults featuring a variety of Asian dishes, with the best cook winning a branded goody bag. Younger chefs learnt to make pizza and animal bread in a children’s corner.
Pink Lady gave away apples polished with a signature pink cloth as part of this year's Carfest North, as well as other merchandise including flags and fridge magnets.
Michelle Horn, account manager for Tenderstem and Pink Lady at TRO, said: "Carfest North was a great success for both the Tenderstem and Pink Lady brands. The reaction to our activations from the general public really exceeded our expectations and we are very excited to do it all again with Carfest South next weekend."
Founded by DJ Chris Evans, Carfest North and South are run in aid of Children in Need. The southern offering is due to begin next Friday (22 August) at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire, while Carfest North took place in Oulton Park in Cheshire.
