In pictures: Theme Traders takes on Breaking Bad

Last Thursday (22 January) event production company Theme Traders invited 40 industry professionals to its latest #SecretPartyTT showcase event, loosely based on American TV series Breaking Bad.

Set in Theme Traders north-west London office, the immersive and secret experience, called #BreakingMAD, was described by the agency as "debauchery and degeneration into criminality, loosely moulded under the umbrella of one particular cult TV show and the concept of breaking morality".

Guests were transported to the venue after only knowing the location hours before the event, and were invited to start the night by travelling back to school days and attending the 'Breakaway Academy', where they were taught a lesson in how to be bad whilst snacking on a 'nice' biscuit from the twisted tuck shop.

Attendees were then able to sit an exam on their aptitude for breakaway methods of immorality, before guests graduated by being thrown into the mix of a full-swing American frat party, all themed around college life in a customised frat house and featuring a rave DJ.

Guests then moved into the 'laundry maze' factory; a winding labyrinth of hanging laundry criss-crossed into hidden avenues of foam and soapy bubbles, grime-encrusted staff rooms and staff kitchens where guests were invited to smash their lunch plates against the walls and vandalise the toilet cubicles with a few choice words about the boss.

Special boiler suits were then provided for individuals to wear before they were sent to work for the back of shop business, exploring their criminality in a specially constructed UV 'meth lab' where dry ice cocktails were served, provided by Create Cocktails.

Guests then smashed and bagged trays of 'blue crystal meth' amidst canisters and the ultra violet setting. Theme Traders rounded off the evening with a ‘Breakaway tour’ involving a full tour crew facilitating guests’ escape to Mexico aboard a classic RV. To enhance the experience treats from food vendors Taco Truck were provided, as well as sand, Sol and sombreros.

The evening's top secret final component, which has become a trademark of Theme Traders' Secret Party events, saw guests being entertained with a Mexican mariachi band, before a surprise encounter with the Drug Enforcement Administration.
