Agency PrettyGreen has been tasked by retailer John Lewis to target students setting off for university with an experiential activation.

Forming part of John Lewis’ wider ‘Off to University’ campaign, The Uni Hub will tour the south of England before the start of the new academic year.

It has been designed to showcase a range of products on offer from the department store, including technology from Intel and affordable homeware items. Brand ambassadors will be on-hand to engage with visitors at the installation, which has been set up in the style of a student’s room.

The activation launched last weekend (23-24 August) at Bluewater shopping centre in Kent and will visit WestQuay in Southampton on 30 and 31 August. The tour will end at Westfield Stratford on 6 and 7 September in time for Freshers' Week.

Kate Morrison, client services director at PrettyGreen, said: "This project has been a bit of a trip down memory lane for us. Everyone has been reminiscing about their own student experiences, and the odd mish-mash of things we took with us.

"We’re thrilled to be bringing The Uni Hub to the UK and are looking forward to meeting students as they get ready for this exciting stage in their lives."
