In total, 30 freshers' fairs will be visited by the brand, which aims to convey that Marmite is the best cure for an attack of the munchies developed from the likes of a night out or a long session in the library.

Toasted samples are being handed out from branded stands, alongside the opportunity to win free product with each purchase of the new 70g jar.

Universities yet to be visited include Sheffield, York, Newcastle, Bath Spa and Cambridge. The tour will wrap up in Oxford on 7 October

The activity was devised and delivered by N2O. W Communications and Mindshare supported through PR and media respectively, and creative agency Adam & Eve also worked on the initial communicaitons concept.

Philippa Atkinson, assistant brand manager at Marmite, told Event: "Students have an undeniable love for toast, so this summer we are showing students that there's no better partner to their beloved toast than Marmite. The campaign will encourage students to fall in love with the product, and to see it as an essential to university life."
