The day kicked off with a ‘tech fit out’, where delegates could install the conference’s smartphone app, collect their radio frequency identification (RFID) smart badges and take part in a 3D body scan from Europac3D.

Representatives from companies including Noodle Live, Guidebook and Catchbox demonstrated their tech during a Q&A session with Lotto.
Breakout sessions were introduced this year, offering delegates the opportunity to discuss event tech in small groups with representatives from a selection of companies who exhibited on the day.
In the afternoon session Corbin Ball delivered a , and BBC technology reporter Kate Russell closed the conference with a holographic projection performance from Musion.
More than 20 companies showcased their event tech offering at the one-day event. Delegates could learn about technologies including projection mapping, mobile event guides, interactive presentation options, event management apps and more.
Maria Schuett, head of marketing at Central Hall and conference producer of Meet The Future, said: "What a day. This event has been a long time in the planning, so it’s great to see it come to life. To have over 300 event planners on-site discussing technology and the impact it can have on the events industry is exactly why we started ‘Meet The Future’ some three years ago.
"We’ve had lots of great feedback from delegates, showing how the conference has established itself on the UK event planner schedule and how important it is to have a platform to learn, share and discuss."
