
The CEOs of five new tech businesses were invited onto the stage and given three minutes to pitch their idea to delegates, with each encouraged to explain how their offering can assist event professionals.
Showslice
Showslice is a free venue and supplier procurement service that enables event organisers to share infrastructure and set-up costs.
Industry professionals can both list and search for venues via the Showslice website, and connect with those who are organising similar events.
Damian Jon Oracki, co-founder at Showslice explained: "This is a tool designed to breakdown the barriers of communication."
Sponsor My Event
This online platform enables event organisers to publish their events on the company’s website, which will be matched with relevant sponsors that have a listing on Sponsor My Event.
Peter Pohle, CEO of Sponsor My Event, said: "Our solution is a marketplace that brings together event sponsors and organisers."
Headliner
Headliner seeks to simplify the entertainment booking process at events by connecting event planners with entertainment suppliers.
The company facilitated the entertainment for Facebook’s Christmas party at Abbey Road Studios, meanwhile other recent clients include Mitsubishi.
Stan McLeod, co-founder and CEO of Headliner, described the company's offering as: "An Airbnb for entertainment."
Eventtia
Eventtia is an event management solution that is designed to help organisers manage their events before, during and after they have occurred.
Mauricio Palacio, CEO at Eventtia, explained: "We are proposing a new vision for event management with everything you need in the one place."
Around Then
The Around Then app utilises Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and iBeacon technology to facilitate networking among event attendees.
Ken Mawbey, founder and CEO, said: "We are all about making networking at any event easier."
