UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) partnered with experiential agency Innovision to showcase the best of British innovation at the British Business House (BBH) in Glasgow.

Held in the City Chambers on the first three days of the Commonwealth Games, (23-25 July), the invite-only event attracted approximately 900 attendees, who came to celebrate British creativity in business across nine industry sectors.

Innovision worked in consortium with Grant Thornton UK to design, produce and manage the BBH, as well as handling environmental design, invitation management, delegate communications and technical production.

Prime Minister David Cameron made an appearance at the house’s opening day, where he addressed an audience of global leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and government officials with a speech on the UK’s global business prospects.

The event follows Innovision’s production of the British Business Embassy, held in Liverpool in June. Grant Thornton and Innovision were awarded the contract to deliver UKTI’s 400-plus global events in 2013.

Michael Cole, client partner for Innovision’s UK government practice, said: "I am thrilled with the summer of successful business embassies.

"Alongside the 20,000 businesses that our consortium supports as part of the UKTI Events and Missions programme, Innovision continues to lead in pioneering experiential events for government."

Sandra Rogers, managing director for marketing at UKTI, added: "Innovision has played a key role in how the government engages with businesses, helping to drive the UK towards its trade and investment targets. We look forward to working alongside them on future projects this coming year, which promises to be both challenging and rewarding."
