The Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP), the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO), the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), HBBA, the Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) and the Event and Visual Communication Association (EVCOM) are all planning events in line with the festival.
The festival will also play host to the BVEP’s partner meeting, which will include a number of visits to venues around the city such as the Albert Dock, Camp and Furnace and the Anfield Stadium.
Michael Foreman, ABPCO’s head of external relations, said: "The International Festival for Business shows Britain at its most creative and innovative best. It’s only right for the events sector to play its part and be fully represented as the world of business gathers in Liverpool to work together to build better relationships".
The 50-day festival, which is part of the Britain for Events campaign, is the largest yearly concentration of business events in the world. It aims to stimulate the UK economy through promoting trade and investment.
