The experience is located in the Masonic Temple Room within the Andaz Hotel in Liverpool Street. It has been designed to celebrate the release of Game of Thrones, The Complete Fourth Season, on DVD and Blu-Ray.
Guests are first invited upstairs for a cocktail reception with a twist, featuring actors in Westeros garb, a 'poison' cocktail of 'Tears of Lys' and a bread and salt canapé 'for protection'. Once everyone is assembled, the doors to the venue are thrown open and guests are asked to take their seats as the Game of Thrones theme is played by a string quartet and contortionist Pixie LeKnot performs a dance on the table.
The All Men Must Dine team then serve ‘the small council of King’s Landing’, an epic 13-course banquet. Courses include poached veal tongue with beetroot, horseradish and oldtown mustard; honey and lemon-glazed quail stuffed with almonds, apricots and sultanas; and flaming suckling pig stuffed with black pudding, apple, rye bread and sage. Dessert comes in the form of bone marrow crème brûlée served inside a bone.
Throughout the banquet, visitors to the pop-up are kept entertained with live acting, gastronomic pyrotechnics and music from two comic fools. The ticketed pop-up is open to consumers from 13 and 15 February.
Fans of the show who were unlucky in securing a place at the banquet can explore the , which is taking place throughout February at The O2.
