The frozen #TakeTheThrone sculpture has been created by Glacial Art Ice Sculptors to celebrate today’s release of Game of Thrones’ season four on Blu-ray and DVD. Fans of the fantasy TV show queued in the hundreds this morning to sit on the frozen chair, which is flanked by two new Blu-ray boxsets also frozen in ice.

The activation is available for the public to sample for just one day. It joins the # and as brand experiences designed to mark the DVD launch and forthcoming fifth series.

Mat Foster, director of Glacial Art Ice Sculptors, said: "The Glacial Art team are huge Game of Thrones fans and we were delighted to be approached by HBO to commission this Iced Throne.

"It was one of the biggest honours and most difficult challenges of our professional careers; but for the greatest show on earth we wanted to create nothing short of our most impressive ice sculpture to date."
