The one-day event targeted expecting parents, offering a series of talks and practical workshops on topics relating to pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood. Speakers included Dr Pixie McKenna from Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies, broadcaster Kate Silverton and comedian Lucy Porter.
Supermarket Aldi showcased its new Mamia Baby range and hosted a session on the business of parenting. Baby store Mamas & Papas unveiled its new Armadillo Flip stroller, as well as sponsoring the event's opening session on parenting myths versus reality, while online health service Doctor Care Anywhere offered one-to-one GP advice to delegates. Maternity fashion store Nine in the Mirror was also on hand to offer styling advice.
30 Euston Square, which houses the headquarters of the Royal College of General Practioners, selected caterer Searcys to provide a pregnancy-friendly lunch for attendees, which was served alongside an alcohol-free cocktail bar.
Rebecca Waters, events co-ordinator at Mumsnet, said: "We wanted a great new space for Bumpfest, our fresh new event. It was aimed at pregnant women and their partners, so we needed a venue that was exciting, but with all the comfort and facilities that our delegates will need.
"30 Euston Square, with its central location, breakout spaces, high-tech auditorium and mix of old and new architecture, really fits the bill."
