Beginning on 15 September and organised in-house, the five-day festival is set to bring a 360-degree fashion experience to readers of the glossy magazine through a range of sartorial events. Hearst Magazines, the publisher of Cosmopolitan, said the series has evolved from last year’s Cosmopolitan Fashion standalone event.
The first day will see One Marylebone host a catwalk lingerie show, showcasing the latest underwear trends for autumn/winter. The event will also feature a canapé and champagne reception, personal fitting sessions and beauty treatments.
30 Euston Square is the venue for Tuesday’s (16 September) event, called 'In conversation with Cosmo – the truth about celebrity fashion' - a fashion masterclass to be attended by singer Pixie Lott, celebrity hairdresser Ben Cooke, PR guru Jess Moloney and Victoria Adcock, stylist to Cheryl Cole and Victoria Beckham.
The 300-seat venue said Cosmopolitan will utilise the event space’s AV equipment and recently upgraded video system to produce a truly digital event.
Georgia Walters, events and sponsorship assistant at Cosmopolitan, said: "When looking for a venue to host our first ever fashion festival, it was important we found somewhere that not only impresses our guests but also meets our digital requirements.
"The auditorium at 30 Euston Square is perfect for us to hold a fully interactive event where we will be encouraging our guests to get involved not only in discussions, but to also create conversation online. Making #Fashfest visible on social media is what the event is all about and 30 Euston Square provides the perfect facilities to make that happen."
Yvette Bradley, general manager at 30 Euston Square, added: "We’re very excited to host the second day of Cosmopolitan’s #Fashfest. We’ve definitely seen an increase in the demand for the use of multi-functioning technology and the use of varying channels and platforms to engage delegates.
"The auditorium is a central feature at 30 Euston Square, digital development within a venue is key for the future and we’ve got everything needed to host a fully interactive digital event. I’m sure the whole week of events will be a hit in the fashion world."
Other #Fashfest events planned include a cyber shopping event, 'Catwalk to Cosmopolitan' at Battersea Evolution and a closing party at an unconfirmed location. Suppliers working alongside Cosmopolitan include agency Smoking Gun, venue collective One Events and caterer Smart Catering.
