Guests enjoyed an ice skating show and live music performances to mark the occasion.
The 807sqm rink is the first in the capital to have an ice path and was built by event infrastructure provider Arena Group on behalf of client Ice Rink Canary Wharf.
Surrounding the rink are three linked single-deck Arcus structures, housing a themed winter bar, skate exchange and box office.
The Arcus structure is Arena Group’s flagship demountable hospitality venue and was used at Olympic sites including Horse Guards Parade and Eton Dorney.
The rink will stay open until 13 January.
