As well as providing an opportunity for venues and suppliers to hold one-to-one meetings with buyers from event agencies and brands, the event saw a full programme of seminar content from some of the industry’s leading figures.
In the morning, Mark Evers, director of Games transport for TfL, offered travel tips for those planning events in London during the Olympics.
He was followed by Alex Balzaretti, London 2012 project director for toy brand Hornby, who gave a keynote on how the brand has used events to activate its licensing agreement with Locog.
After lunch Duncan Miller, business development director for George P Johnson, gave an insight into the new world order of event sponsorship, while Event editor Jeremy King and London & Partners head of communications at business and major events, Chloe Couchman, spoke about making the most of the London Media Centre during the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Exhibitors and delegates rounded off the day with a drinks and canapé reception in the venues foyer.
