The former Little Chef chief executive told Event he wants to complete the turnaround of the business and cement his plans for strategic growth.

Stoneleigh Park appointed Peglar last year to reinvigorate the then loss-making venue. Since then, annual profits have grown by almost 10 times the previous year.

Said Peglar: "It’s been a successful year for Stoneleigh Park, both in terms of the way the business has been transformed and the speed with which it has been done. This success is testament to the hugely dedicated and talented team we have in place and their ability to exceed customer expectations.

"Our growth plans for the remainder of 2012, will focus on continuing to improve the venue’s facilities so we can further diversify into new markets and sectors."

Stoneleigh Park is hosting both the Edible Garden Show and the Agricultural Building Show later this month.
