The show, run by Channell Events, is scheduled for the start of the growing season. Broadcaster and writer Pippa Greenwood, celebrity chef Rachel Green and The Edible Garden Show’s ‘grow your own’ guru Paul Peacock will all be on hand to give tips and advice on living the good life.

Last year’s launch event attracted nearly 11,000 visitors. Organisers say the 2012 show will have an additional exhibition hall, larger animal marquee and food areas with a range of gardening and cookery demonstrations and interactive displays.

BBC TV presenter James Wong will be on a mission to tempt gardeners into becoming more adventurous by growing exotic food. Wong will be giving daily talks at the show, urging gardeners to explore the range of exotic fruit and vegetables that can flourish in the UK climate.
