From 9am today until midnight on September 10, users can pre-order the digital download copy of , which features 81 playable divisions from over 30 countries.
On September 11, those who registered will then be able to download the game directly to their PC from .
Users will need to pay £2.50 for download costs, plus any additional amount of their choice, starting from just 1p.
Speaking at a press conference to announce the game's launch, Roy Meredith, general manager of Championship Manager, said: "For 15 years you've been fans of ours and you've been our supporters. We'd like to offer you something back for that support."
The move by Eidos is a first in the videogame industry.
It echoes a similar initiative by in 2007, which allowed fans to choose how much they wanted to pay to download their 'In Rainbows' album.
Eidos said: "We're keen to see as many people as possible playing 'Championship Manager', and think this is a great way to get people playing."
The publisher is hoping its latest version of 'Championship Manager' challenges current market leader 'Football Manager' from Sega.
