The first episode in the eight-part series, in which the Hollywood socialite searches for a British best friend to party with when she is in the UK from a group of twelve hopefuls, captured a 1.7% share of the audience at 9pm-10pm.
The 9pm slot was won by BBC One's 'Hustle, which had 5m viewers and a 20.8% share of the audience.
ITV1's new series 'Piers Morgan on...', in which the former Daily Mirror editor investigated life in Dubai and asked if the desert city can avoid the credit crunch, pulled in 4.7m viewers and a 19.5% share of the audience in the same slot.
'Victorian Farm', in which a group of historians recreate life on a Victorian-era farm, brought BBC Two 3.3m viewers and a 13.8% share of the audience between 9pm-10pm.
It went up against Channel 4's 'Jamie Saves Our Bacon', a look at the pork industry with celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, which attracted 1.9m viewers and an 8.6% share of the audience. Including viewers on Channel 4+1, it was watched by 2.1m viewers.
Five's 'Soho Blues', a documentary series profiling police work in the heart of London's West End, earnt 1.3m viewers and a 5.2% share of the audience between 9pm-10pm.
