P&G signs first pan-Euro ad deal for Pampers brand

LONDON - Proctor & Gamble has signed its first ever pan-European internet advertising deal to promote its Pampers baby brand on MSN's network.

Pampers.com will be promoted by Microsoft's portal in the UK, Germany and Sweden and get access to the 29.7 million monthly users of MSN in those territories.

Chris Gale, P&G UK interactive marketing manager, said: "P&G is highly focused to constantly find new intelligent ways to meet our consumers' needs online. MSN has provided an innovative route for Pampers to communicate to mums in a manner which integrates holistically the brand's offline messages."

The Pampers' website will be promoted on MSN's prominent 'hockey stick' and the smaller stamps ad slots, as well as via text links on the network's homepages.

Pampers.com claimed over 725,000 visitors in October 2003.

L'Oreal recently agreed a pan-European deal with MSN to run interactive beauty content on the portal and MSN Messenger for the first time.
