OgilvyOne's Rona departs for Tribal DDB

LONDON - Tribal DDB has poached OgilvyOne's global digital planner Patrick Rona to head up its European operations.

Rona, who is still at the WPP agency, will join Tribal DDB in February and will be responsible for expanding the agency and driving digital growth across the DDB Group.

At OgilvyOne Rona is responsible for overseeing the Unilever digital marketing account for brands such as Dove, Persil, Flora/Becel, Hellman's and Vaseline.

US-born Rona joined OgilvyOne in July 2008 and was head of digital at the now defunct Craik Jones where he worked for two years. Previously he was senior vice president of Digitas London and also worked at Agency.com in New York.

Earlier this month Tribal DDB named Robert Rasmussen, former executive creative director of innovation at Bartle Bogle Hegarty New York, as its new US chief executive creative officer and NY executive creative director.
