OgilvyOne New York appoints digital specialist Zucker as head creative

NEW YORK - OgilvyOne New York has appointed Mat Zucker, former executive creative director of Agency.com and R/GA, as executive creative director.

Zucker, who is rejoining OgilvyOne after leaving in 2005 to join R/GA, will report to managing director Harvey Kipnis.

Most recently Zucker was vice-president and ECD of Agency.com's New York office.

He spent two years at the agency, during which time his creative contributions are said to have led to growth of the agency's business with clients including CIT and Mars.

Zucker was also instrumental to bringing in new business from SPX Corp, LG Electronics and Jackson Hewitt among others.

Before Agency.com, Zucker was executive creative director at R/GA, leading creative on Subaru of America and Johnson & Johnson.

Prior to that he was at OgilvyOne where he rose through the creative ranks to become group creative director and led the Enfamil and Cisco Systems business.

Kipnis said: "Our targeted marketing business continues to grow as 'the long tail' becomes a reality for marketers.

"We are looking to Mat to help us scale the direct model in the digital world, enabled by the many new technology tools now available to creatives."

Zucker said: "There is an opportunity here to reinvent direct marketing for today's digital age."
