Ofcom revokes licence of adult channel Look4Love

LONDON - Ofcom has taken adult TV channel Look4Love off-air following numerous breaches of its broadcasting code.

The media regulator has revoked the licence held by Television Concepts to provide the channel Look4Love for failing to pay a £175,000 fine in addition to broadcasting X-rated material without encryption.

The material was transmitted in a programme called 'Babestar.tv Live XXX', which featured "women in various states of undress and extremely explicit sexual language", Ofcom said.

The programme also included "apparent masturbation" and verbal references to both "anal and oral sex".

Ofcom said it was compelled to act in the public interest due to the "seriousness of the breaches", failure to pay the fine and to ensure such breaches are not perpetrated again.

Look4Love is a free-to-air service which broadcasts after 10pm on Sky Digital channel number 916.
