O2 invites fans to watch England vs France showdown

LONDON - O2 is running a draw offering 5,000 fans the chance to watch England's crucial Rugby World Cup semi-final against tournament hosts France on a giant LED screen, at former Millennium Dome venue The O2 in East London.

The England rugby team's match against France at Stade de France on Saturday evening, will determine who gets to play either South Africa or Argentina in the final next weekend

Fans are being invited to text "Rugby" to 60505 in order to receive a ticket for the 8 o'clock evening kick off, which is being hosted by former England utility back Austin Healey and Sky Sports presenter Mark Durden-Smith. O2 customers will also receive a free pint as part of the deal.

Tickets for the event are limited to one person per text, but are available to all rugby fans regardless of their network provider on a first-come first-served basis.

Durden-Smith said: "This is an amazing opportunity for England fans to come together to celebrate the win against Australia and watch the next chapter in England's roller-coaster World Cup."

England's surprise 12-10 win over Australia last weekend in Marseille has rekindled the team's hopes of becoming the first team to successfully retain the Webb Ellis Cup, which they won for the first time in 2003 after beating The Wallabies 20-17 with a last-minute Jonny Wilkinson drop goal.
