Nuts reveals programme line-up for TV channel

LONDON - Soon-to-launch Nuts TV has announced its programme line-up, including model Lucy Pinder reading excerpts of classic novels and 'Britain's Fittest Barmaid'.

The new channel, an offshoot of IPC Men's weekly magazine Nuts, includes glamour model Lucy Pinder's 'Book at Bedtime', a show about cross-dressing called 'Gender Bender', 'Britain's Fittest Barmaid', and a nationwide competition to win the phone number of Miss England.

Presenters on Nuts TV, which launches on Freeview on September 12, include comedian Steve Marsh, BBC Radio Five's Lynsey Horn, who will front the channel's gadgets and film reviews, and Zoe Hardman, presenter of ITV's 'Glitterball'.

The channel, which will broadcast from 9pm to 1am every evening, said it had planned a mix of live TV that would cover "the most topical stories of the day" along with a twice-nightly news spot, competitions, live music and celebrity interviews.

Nuts TV has also lined up 'Fit and Fearless', a programme where young women will travel across the UK to investigate paranormal experiences.

Dee Forbes, senior vice-president at Turner Broadcasting System, said: "With a multiplatform launch and UGC strategy at heart, Nuts TV will bridge the current gap in the TV marketplace.

"Male audiences are currently bombarded with entertainment and information so we have taken great steps to ensure this is a channel representative of their lives with content they will want to watch and interact with."
