NSPCC to improve targeting with SmartFocus applications

LONDON - The NSPCC is looking to improve the value of its donor database with a series of SmartFocus tools that will give the charity better insight and improve its targeting.

SmartFocus is to supply analysis, profiling, modelling, campaigning and reporting applications to the NSPCC.

The children's charity hopes these will help the marketing and donor relationship team to communicate with the charity's supporters more effectively.

The need for new ways of accessing the database is due to increased data volumes and technical limitations with the current system.

Marion Rose, head of direct donor marketing at NSPCC, said: "The NSPCC needs to obtain a clear profile of its donors in order to better target communications to them and to others who fit the profile but are not yet donors.

"The SmartFocus solutions, by filling in the gaps, will enable us to use our database more productively to create targeted campaigns, and effectively evaluate responses."
