Nigel Havers' walkout draws 9.6 million to I'm a Celeb

The controversial BBC war drama 'Accused' lost the battle during primetime last night as ITV's 'I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here' delivered an audience of 9.6 million, according to unofficial overnight figures.

Last night the celebrities had to deal with the aftermath of a dramatic Sunday evening show, in which nutritionist Gillian McKeith fainted and 'Chariots of Fire' actor Nigel Havers walked out in opposition to the electric shock task.

'I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here' had an average audience of 9.6 million between 9pm and 10pm on ITV1 and ITV1 HD, a 36.3% of the available audience and 200,000 more than last Monday (15 November).

'Accused', which has been criticised by the army for portraying an unrealistic view of Afghanistan, had an average audience of 3.39 million between 9pm and 10pm, a 12.8% share of the TV watching audience.

The documentary 'Coppers' on Channel 4 had an average audience of 1.81 million between 9pm and 10pm, a 6.9% share of the TV watching audience. A further 352,600 watched the show on Channel 4+1.

On BBC Two and BBC HD 'Giles and Sue Live the Good Life', presented by Giles Coren and Sue Perkins, had an audience of 1.82 million, a 6.9% share of the TV watching audience.

'Extreme Fishing with Robson Green' on Channel Five lured an audience of 937,200 between 9pm and 10pm, a 3.5% share of the TV watching audience.
