The campaign, which is set to roll out in August, will run for two days in each shopping centre. Venues include Lakeside in Essex and Merry Hill in the Midlands.

Characters to feature in the activity will include Spongebob Squarepants and Dora the Explorer, who will both have themed zones for the kids to play in. Plasma screens running Nickelodeon content will also be present.

Speaking about the campaign Clare Piggott, VP of consumer products at Nickelodeon UK said: We are very keen to support our retailers who are listing products from our top brands SpongeBob and Dora for this event.

"Driving footfall to store through this fabulous experiential activity forms an integral part of our consumer products retail strategy and we are currently in discussions with our retail partners to create on-the-ground mechanics to maximise this opportunity.
