He has been brought in to help develop and manage Arena Seating’s growth, following a £6m investment into 50,000 Clearview seats.
Gaffney will be based at the office in Membury and will implement and oversee a range of solutions for new and existing clients.
He has more than 20 years experience in temporary seating, managing projects like The Open Golf Championship and Cheltenham Guinness stand.
Gaffney was previously a project manager at ES Global Solutions. Before that he was the managing director and owner of Seating Contracts for 11 years, before leaving the company after it became part of SGB Eventlink.
Gaffney said: "This year Arena has demonstrated the scale and calibre of overlay and seating they can provide to events of every kind, from permanent sporting installations to one-off cultural celebrations. I’m looking forward to being a part of the company as it continues to grow internationally. It’s an exciting time to be joining."
