The new Media Week editor is Jeremy King, who will also retain the editorship of sister Haymarket Business Publications title Event, while Mark Banham has been promoted to the role of deputy editor.
The pair have 25 years of journalism experience between them and are looking forward to the challenge of taking the Media Week brand to the next level.
King said: "I am really excited about this new role and looking forward to getting to know the media industry over the coming months, particularly at one of the brand's flagship events, Media 360. I am also relishing the opportunity to work with Mark in order to develop the brand's existing portfolio and implement a number of new products."
Banham said: "These are exciting times for media as it strives to bounce back from recent events using creativity and strategic thinking to drive change.
"This will be paralleled by several new initiatives to be announced over the coming months under the Media Week banner. This will, not least, be represented by a revamped Media Week Awards, which will go even further towards recognising existing and emerging talent within the industry.
"I look forward to working with Jeremy on some new and exciting products."
Media Week's news output will continue to be handled by Haymarket's consolidated news desk, run by Arif Durrani.
