New BT ads poke fun at new-age <BR>management techniques

LONDON - BT has launched a series of business-to-business television commercials, promoting itself as an IT and communications solutions provider.

The advertisements poke fun at some of the more new-age business techniques that have become popular of late, such as motivational speakers and primal scream therapy.

One of the series of three ads, created by St Luke's, features an office where all the chairs have been replaced by beanbags, with the theme that BT can help staff work from anywhere.

The strapline for the campaign is "connections that get results".

Amanda Mackenzie, director of marketing services, said, "We wanted to bring home to business that getting down to business rather than being beguiled by some of the more way-out techniques to improve sales or staff performance makes sense."

The campaign will run for four weeks.
