New Abacus service helps explain transactional data

LONDON – Abacus, the data and research provider, has launched a new reporting service, Strategic Transaction Activity Reports, to help mail order businesses understand customer data.

Among its highlights, the STAR service analyses customer activity outside of their relationship with the company using recency, frequency and monetary value data and allows companies to identify those consumers that are still purchasing via mail order and develop reactivation programmes to convert them back.

Andy McDermott, managing director of Abacus UK, said: "As mail order companies continually strive to acquire new customers at an acceptable cost, their customer housefile offers a very cost-effective option to grow their profitability.

"This new reporting service helps them to understand and realise greater value from the information they have access to through membership of the Abacus Alliance."

The service is available now and requires a minimum customer housefile segment size of 100,000 individuals.
