The Birmingham venue has teamed up with Christmas party operator Vivid Experience to offer the Christmas Party World experience between 5 and 22 December. It will be based in hall 12 and will include indoor dodgems, a waltzer and other fairground rides within 10,000sqm of space.

Attendees will also be entertained by aerial performers as part of a ‘Cirque de Lumiere’ theme, which translates as ‘Circus of Light’.

Other highlights of the event will include giant four-legged stilt walkers and human statues serving canapés to guests on arrival and a Moet and Chandon champagne bar.

The venue is capable of hosting 15,000 guests across the 12 nights. The NEC reports a high demand for tickets.

Richard Longhill, managing director of Vivid Experience, said: "The popularity of our brand new party venue at the NEC has exceeded expectations in our first year. It gives us a great platform to stage an unforgettable run of parties and create a guest experience that will build our reputation further for next year."

Kathy Male, account manager for live events and conferences at the NEC, added: "Naturally we’re delighted that the Christmas parties are proving to be so popular, but in addition to a great night of entertainment it’s going to provide a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our amazing event space, creating an exciting proposition for our corporates and demonstrating how a blank canvas can be brought to life by a really creative team.

"We want to show our clients that we can be their venue of choice for all occasions, manager conferences, product launches and parties."

As part of the event, profits from a casino will be donated to Birmingham charity Help Harry Help Others, which aims to raise funds to help find find a cure for brain cancer, as well as help children and their families who are affected by it.
