NatMags appoints Victoria White as editor of Company

LONDON - The National Magazine Company has appointed Victoria White as editor of Company magazine.

White replaces Sam Baker, who announced in September that she was stepping down to pursue a writing career after five years in the job.

White was appointed as deputy editor of Company in August 2000, and previously deputy editor at B magazine.

White joins Company at a time when NatMags is increasing investment in the title. Earlier this year it launched spin-off title Shop!, which is expected to be published as a standalone newsstand title early next year.

Company, a young women's monthly, increased its circulation by 5.9 per cent during the first six months of 2003 to 330,617.

Justine Southall, publishing director of Company, said: "Victoria has been instrumental in the current success of the magazine and I am confident that she has all the right qualities to carry on making Company the most exciting women's magazine in its marketplace."
