MySpace claims that Scene Junkie will further the "discovery and connection between people and culture creators in the same way MySpace has revolutionised music".
Jamie Kantrowitz, senior vice-president of marketing and content for MySpace International, said: "Scene Junkie is the new home for all the movers and shakers on MySpace, and a platform for them to express themselves directly to their fans.
"For the first time our users can find this talent all in one place, and not just the A-listers -- they can also discover the power users that build their fame from our site. Scene Junkie is essentially a next-generation newswire, allowing talent and fans to connect in ways that haven't been possible before."
