The Feeling, SnowPatrol, the Kaiser Chiefs and Corrine Bailey Rae have also confirmed they will be playing live lunch time concerts across five commercial radio networks in a bid to promote UK music.
More than 250 stations will be involved in the week's activities, featuring the contemporary hit radio, adult contemporary, gold, rock and rhythmic networks, with content tailored to each network's audience.
Local stations will also be running their own special features and music events all this week.
Highlights include artist gigs and interviews, music from up and coming musicians and a listener-voted poll to find the "Greatest UK Guitar Band" - which will include content on Emap's TV channel, Q, on Monday next week. (28 May.)
The stories behind UK hits will run on the Gold network, with DJ David Jensen speaking to the UK's biggest artists about their most famous hits.
Classic FM has revealed it will run a series of special British concerts every evening, a collection of special reports to be aired on Classic Newsnight, and a countdown of the top 60 UK classical tracks, which will be played on Bank Holiday Monday.
And on Friday, (25 May) every network will dedicate 12 solid hours of their airtime to UK Music.
Music Week is organised by Andrew Harrison, chief executive of the RadioCentre (pictured).
