The five-day festival will see up to 50 tall ships return to the capital after a 25-year absence. As part of the event several ships are being made available for exclusive private dining opportunities.
Moving Venue already caters for a number of ships, including Eye of the Wind, Pelican of London and Santa Maria Manuela.
Richard Beggs, managing director at Moving Venue, said: "We are naturally very excited to be catering at the regatta. It will be a fantastic event and a real highlight in the capital’s event calendar with the tall ships providing truly unique venues for special events."
The contract win comes as the caterer reported a growth in the aviation sector, with its work on this week’s Farnborough International Airshow (14-20 July) set to account for 10% of Moving Venue’s annual revenue.
"There is a marked sense of confidence at this year’s show which is reflected in some very large orders being announced," Beggs explained. "Such economic buoyancy is having a ripple effect for us as our clients reinforce their market positioning through bigger budgeted entertaining and high-end service standards.
"Farnborough International Airshow has always been an important part in our business planning and 2014 is very much a landmark year in terms of the budgets being spent."
Moving Venue has been on site for nine days at the show preparing and meeting the requirements for corporate, country and government bodies. Breakfast, lunches, afternoon teas and evening receptions have been created, with logistics and planning for the large-scale outdoor project being in place for more than six months.
