
Tall Ships Regatta
London caterer Moving Venue has been appointed by Sail Royal Greenwich as its catering partner at the Tall Ships Regatta, taking place in Royal Greenwich. The regatta, held from 5-9 September, will welcome up to 50 tall ships over the weekend. Several ships will be available for exclusive private dining opportunities and Moving Venue will be catering on a number of ships, including Eye of the Wind, Pelican of London and Santa Maria Manuela.
Headingley Experience
Headingley Stadium is the world famous home of great teams, amongst which are the Yorkshire Cricket Club and the Leeds Rhinos Rugby Club. Situated just three miles outside of Leeds city centre, the stadium offers party accommodation, ranging from exclusive suites to a long bar with capacity for up to 1,000 people. For this year’s festive season, Prestige’s team in Headingley has put together two themed party packages, including a 1920s Great Gatsby package, complete with a three-course meal, photo booth and casino tables, and a Christmas Boogie Nights package, featuring a disco.
Perth Racecourse
For a Christmas party with an exciting twist, companies can head to Perth Racecourse to experience the thrill of a Christmas race night, set in the grounds of the historic Scone Palace and skirting the banks of the River Tay. The Galileo Suite offers panoramic views over the racecourse, and the Christmas Race Night package includes a drinks reception festive two-course meal, followed by racing on the screens and a chance to be taken to the winners’ enclosure. To facilitate party logistics, the package also includes free transport to Perth city centre.
St Andrews in 2015
Next year’s Open Championship, one of the highlights of the golfing calendar, will be held at the home of the sport and near The Royal and Ancient Golf Club, at St Andrews Links, Scotland. Following the highly successful 2014 Open at Royal Liverpool this month (July), the catering team behind next year’s event has unveiled a raft of hospitality packages for fans keen to enjoy a slice of the action in 2015. Sodexo Prestige has created an official hospitality village, specifically for The Open 2015, next to the 16th hole, for fans who don’t want to miss any of the action.The village will house a range of private chalets, designed for groups of 30 or more, which can be customised with corporate branding and offer a complimentary bar throughout the day, along with a cooked Scottish breakfast and morning newspapers.
