Movers and shakers: EE, JWT, Mindshare and more

Mindshare UK has appointed Adam Whittles and Graham Ridley as joint business directors of the SEO and content marketing team. They will report to Jenny Kirby, managing partner at Mindshare UK. Ridley joins Mindshare from John Lewis’ SEO division, which saw a double digit increase in site visibility. Prior to this, he worked at Greenlight Digital where he led the SEO strategy for large scale clients, including Currys, Next, Guardian Jobs and RS Components. Whittles joins the team after working with Mindshare’s sister agency, Maxus.

Peter Jeavons has been appointed to the role of EE, replacing Spencer McHugh. Jeavons, who was previously head of brand strategy and development at the mobile network, will take up the position next month.

J Walter Thompson London has appointed Rachel Moss, head of production at creative content shop Evidently, to the new role of head of content. Moss, who started this week, reports to management partner Dani Bassil. She is responsible for scaling content operations, expanding the team and raising the quality of work.

The Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) has named Cheryl Giovannoni as its new CEO with effect from September 2016. A WPP stalwart, Giovannoni has run three of its companies, her most recent role being CEO of Ogilvy & Mather.
