
Goddard has been brought in to lead all of Miva Media's revenue operations functions, including sales, business development, account management and editorial.
He will also spearhead a recruitment drive and lead MIVA's rolls out of its consumer offer into the UK market.
"I believe that initiatives like the MIVA Precision Network and the ongoing expansion of the company's consumer division give MIVA a unique position in the market," commented Goddard.
"It is these initiatives that I believe will stand MIVA in good stead to capitalise on a buoyant online advertising market."
Goddard joins the MIVA ad network from Into-woven, a New York-based digital sales and marketing consultancy.
Prior to Into-woven, Simon spent five years at Yahoo! HotJobs as senior vice president, sales. He led HotJobs from a start-up, through a period of rapid growth, to a successful IPO and subsequent sale to Yahoo!
Prior to HotJobs, Goddard was sales director at Catalina Marketing Corporation, a leading provider of behaviour-based marketing services for consumer goods companies and retailers.
He also held a number of senior sales roles during his nine-year tenure at News Corporation, both in London and New York.
