Canadian by birth, Vinet has spent the last 25 years in Europe, most recently as managing director of the Paris office of OgilvyOne.
Previously, he managed Interpublic's DraftDigital, which is part of DraftWorldwide. Prior to his time at Draft, Vinet was the founder of database marketing firm Synthese Marketing, which he ran for more than 10 years.
Andrea Bielli, CEO Millward Brown Continental Europe, Middle East and North Africa, said: "Robert brings with him wide, deep experience spanning database marketing, CRM and e-marketing, which will complement the above-the-line expertise that already resides in our French operation.
"As clients increasingly struggle to ensure they harness all points of contact and influence and ensure genuine connections with their customers and the communications channels they use, Robert's skills will be particularly relevant."
Vinet will report into Bielli and becomes a member of the management board of Millward Brown Continental Europe, Middle East and North Africa.
