Microsoft pushes digital lifestyle online

LONDON - Microsoft has launched a video-driven site to promote digital living and push its products to digital fans and young families.

Ultimate goals of the site are to drive sales of Windows Vista and encourage downloads of Windows Live applications.

From the homepage, users are given the opportunity to choose from five tech-savvy, yet everyday, characters with interwoven stories.

Once the user has opted into a story, they are taken on a journey and  presented with online demonstrations of the latest technologies and software, jumping between stories as the characters' paths cross.

The site, at , has been created by integrated digital agency Mason Zimbler, and has been outputted solely for Microsoft's Silverlight technology. It streams full-screen video and uses a video interface.
