
Grade joins JGG with immediate effect and will be responsible for helping the company realise its growth ambitions.
Grade has a wealth of media experience and is currently non-executive chairman of Pinewood and Shepperton Film Studios, and of online shopping company Ocado. At ITV, he combined the roles of chief executive and chairman for two years from November 2007.
Neil Rodford, chief executive of JGG said Grade would add the "additional depth and business experience required as JGG seeks to expand both the management and professional services" elements of its business.
Grade is a former chief executive of Channel Four Television and joined ITV from the BBC, where he was chairman of the BBC board of governors from 2004 to 2006.
James Grant was launched in 1984 by Peter Powell and Russ Lindsay, and looks after a number of ITV stars, including 'This Morning' presenters Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield, and Vernon Kay.
