Buzzworld will be accessible later today from the boutique-style travel website, , already created by MRM Worldwide to support MasterCard's corresponding TV and print ads.
Buzzworld will initially aggregate content from four major user-generated travel websites: , , and .
To complement the site MRM has designed a Buzzwold holiday countdown Facebook application, which it will also extend to iGoogle. The application feeds users who tell it the date and location of their forthcoming holiday with related photos and travel tips.
Ben Rhodes, vice-president of UK marketing at MasterCard, said: "The digital space represents a great opportunity for MasterCard to build our brand in new and innovative ways through greater engagement and cardholder participation.
"With more and more people using the internet to make travel plans, it was a logical step for us to extend our marketing activity digitally."
