The Marketing Store appoints Tequila's Sycamore to head digital development

LONDON - The Marketing Store has appointed Gray Sycamore, Tequila\London's director of digital, to head its own digital development division.

Gray, who was at Tequila for six years, arrives after a spate of recent senior changes at The Marketing Store, most notably Roberto Salmasi being appointed partnership relationship director. Prior to that he was at E-Volution from 1999 where stayed for one year before joining Tequila. 

The Marketing Store, which earlier this month beat Tullo Marshall Warren to secure the contract for Dyson's direct marketing account, is keen to expand its activity in the digital market.

Catherine Gale, European CEO for The Marketing Store, said: "Digital offers immense opportunities to interact with customers and bring brands to life. Gray's high-profile appointment is significant as it illustrates our commitment to digital relationship and online marketing."

Gray's successes at Tequila included increasing the company's digital capability, which now accounts for 30% of the agency's gross revenue, handling clients including O2, Adidas and Unicef.

Gray who has worked on campaigns for Intel, Morgan Stanley, Chevrolet and The Army, also produces a podcast focusing on "the other side of advertising" for adland.tv.
