The Marketing Store appoints Pimentel as chief product officer

LONDON - The Marketing Store is strengthening its team with the appointment of two senior positions including that of George Pimentel, who joins its product group as global president and chief product officer.

Pimentel will report directly to Graham Kemp, the global president and CEO. He will be based at The Marketing Store's Chicago headquarters.

Pimentel joins the group from Marcel Schurman, where he held the position of vice-president of global procurement and supply chain. Before this he spent 18 years at Hallmark, with 10 years in Asia as the head of procurement and managing director.

Chris Moon is joining the London office's 10-strong creative team, headed up by Jim Wilkinson, in the role of product creative director. Moon joins from promotional marketing agency Logistix where he was head of creative.

Before this, Moon spent two years as a product designer and concept generator in the concept/design team at Lego Futura.

According to Kemp: "They will both make significant contributions to our core philosophy of brand activation, bringing the spirit of brands to life through our five primary competencies: product innovation, experiential, interactive, direct and promotional marketing. This combination of consultancy and product gives us a truly unique positioning."

The Marketing Store has 11 offices worldwide and has a global turnover of 拢282m and more than 600 employees. Clients include Asda, Cereal Partners Worldwide, Walkers Snacks, Unilever and McDonald's.
