The Marketing Store makes senior planning appointments

LONDON – The Marketing Store has appointed two new senior planners, Clyde McKendrik and Richard Cordiner, to its team bringing the planning group to five.

McKendrik will be based in The Marketing Store's Birmingham office working with managing director David Poole and Cordiner will work specifically on the McDonald's business in the agency's London office. They will both report to European planning director Ross MacDonald.

McKendrik joins from brand communications company The Open Consultancy, where he was managing director and worked on partnership communications strategies for Blockbuster.

McKendrik also worked at BDW as client services director and spent three years at brand marketing consultancy Talisman, where he became client services director and managed the launch and operations of its new media agency, TMX New Media.

Cordiner, who was previously senior planner at Mason Zimbler, will be based in The Marketing Store's Birmingham office working with managing director David Poole.

Prior to this, Cordiner gained experience spanning advertising, brand development and started his career at direct marketing group Target Direct.
