Market research bodies aim to develop single structure

LONDON – The Market Research Society is working with other industry groups to develop a single organisational structure reflecting the needs of the market research industry as a whole.

The MRS is teaming up with the British Market Research Association and the Association of Users of Research Agencies.

The core aims of the new structure are to deliver a more unified voice for the market research industry with improved leadership, direction and focus on external issues.

The three say that the move should also lead to equivalent or better services, representation and resources.

The proposals follow the agreement of the governing councils of the three organisations in February this year to produce the stategic paper.

Once fully developed and approved by the governing councils of the MRS, BMRA and AURA, the proposals will be put to their respective memberships for a period of consultation before any action is taken.
